The Object of Sudoku Puzzles
Sudoku is a popular brain game/number placement game, which consists of a 9 x 9 grid, divided into nine 3 x 3 sections.
The object of the game is to fill in the grid, and subsections (boxes), with numbers from 1 – 9. Each row, column and 3 x 3 subsection must contain the all the numbers from 1 – 9, and there must be no repetitions of these digits in any row, column or subsection.
Sudoku puzzles can be completed via the process of elimination. With our Sudoku App you can play against the clock to see how fast you complete each puzzle!
How to Play Our Sudoko Games App
Drag the number you want to place in the grid from the right-hand side of the screen and into your chosen square.
Erase mistakes you have made using the ‘Eraser’, which is shown next to the numbers on the top righthand side of your screen.
Each time you complete a Sudoku puzzle, your game time will be shown.
Need Help Playing Sudoku?
We have a number of handy hints to make your Sudoku puzzle playing easier:
If you tick the blue box ‘Show Highlights’ you can click on any number on the grid (e.g. 4) and the highlighted boxes show all the possible moves you can make with this digit.
If you press the blue button ‘AutoNote On’ you can forfeit some of the coins awarded to you to automatically add notes to your game. Alternatively, you can make your own notes with the ‘Show Notes’ and ‘Edit Notes’ options (see below).
If you would like to make notes, tick the ‘Show Notes’ option, then highlight the square you wish to make notes in. Next, drag your digit options to the relevant box (e.g 1 and 3).
You can edit your notes at any time, by ticking the ‘Edit Notes’ option at the right-hand side of your screen. Untick this box to place your next number on the grid.
Show Mistakes/Eliminate Mistakes
The ‘Show Mistakes’ button will show all the mistakes you have made. Once you press this, you can eliminate your mistakes by pressing the blue ‘Clear Mistakes’ button on the right-hand side of the screen.
